Brief About Company:
SPINOSA S.p.A. is an Italian company specialized in the production of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO and its derivatives. The cheese manufacturing facility was established in 1994, in Campania, in the region crossed by the Volturno River, which Romans used to refer to as “Campum Stellatem”; this territory on its own contributes to 60% of the Italian production of PDO buffalo milk.
It all started in the 1940s, when grandma Lucia Spinosa and grandpa Giuseppe Mario founded the first cheese production facility. Fifty years later, their grandchildren Luigi and Giustina Griffo restarted the family business that today is led by Paolo and Teresa, their children. Today, SPINOSA S.p.A. is at the top of the Italian and European market producing for its own brand as well as for the big names of the large distribution chain.
The raw material used by SPINOSA, which comes exclusively from the “PDO area”, is analysed, transformed and packaged within 24/48 hours. A short production chain – in which every step is certified – managed by highly qualified professionals who follow every stage to ensure the highest standards of freshness and uniqueness of local flavours, from raw material to final product.
